This Privacy Policy explains how Learnest Lab Malaysia ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use Kelasapp. We are committed to handling data responsibly and in line with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

1. Information we collect

• Account information: name, email, organisation details, and billing information.
• Operational data: classes, students, attendance, invoices, and payouts you enter.
• Usage data: basic analytics about how the service is used, to help us improve it.

2. How we use information

We use information to provide and maintain the service, process payments, respond to support requests, send service-related notifications, and improve the platform. We do not sell your data or use your students' data to train AI.

3. Data isolation and PDPA

Every operator's data is fully isolated and enforced at the database level. Your students, classes, invoices, and attendance records are never visible to other operators. As the data controller for your students' information, you are responsible for obtaining any consent required under the PDPA; we act as your data processor.

4. Sharing and sub-processors

We share data only with trusted service providers (sub-processors) needed to run the platform, and only to the extent necessary. These currently include our authentication provider (Clerk), our payment provider, and our cloud hosting provider. We may disclose data where required by law. We never sell your data.

5. Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. After cancellation, personal data is deleted within 90 days, except for backups (purged on a rolling basis) and financial records, which we retain for up to 7 years as required by Malaysian law.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest. No system is completely secure, but we work continuously to safeguard your information.

8. Cookies

We use only essential cookies, the ones needed to keep you signed in and to operate the service. We do not use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
